Teachers’ Morning és un matí de seminaris i tallers, especialment dissenyats per a professors d’anglès ocupats, en el qual experts en el món de l’ensenyament en anglès, proporcionen idees valuoses, tècniques innovadores i estratègies pràctiques per integrar fàcilment al teu dia a dia a les classes.

Developing Reading and Use of English Skills at B2 First for Schools

This session gives teachers practical, ready-to-use strategies to help learners succeed in the B2 First for Schools exam. You’ll try out classroom activities, explore techniques to develop Reading and Use of English skills, and work through real exam tasks — all designed to save time, boost student engagement, and can be adapted for other levels too.
About Jim
Jim Fuller is a seasoned educator and professional development expert with over a decade of experience in English Language Teaching (ELT). Specialising in teacher education, Jim is passionate about closing the gap between research and practice, working directly with teachers and learners to drive meaningful change in the classroom. He currently serves as a Professional Learning and Development Trainer at Cambridge, where he is part of initiatives to enhance the quality of teaching and learning through innovative training programmes.

A creative, hands-on workshop giving teachers practical tools to use theatre, movement and songs in their English lessons. Dozens of ready-to-use ideas to build confidence, participation, and joyful communication in the classroom.
About Danielle
Since the age of three, Danielle has lived surrounded by dance, theatre, and storytelling. Her career spans teaching drama and dance in secondary schools, leading performing arts projects in the UK and Mexico, and nine years at Kids&Us in Catalonia, where she wrote stories and songs, lent her voice to children’s audio stories, and created theatrical activities still enjoyed by thousands of learners. Now the founding force behind Funengo, Danielle’s vision is for children to experience English as an adventure full of play, emotion, and confidence.
Listen Up! Engaging Pre-Listening Lead-ins to Encourage Students and Build Confidence

Many learners find listening tasks challenging due to unfamiliar topics, vocabulary, and task types. This hands-on session shows how effective lead-ins can make listening more accessible, engaging, and fun. We’ll explore practical pre-listening activities for all four parts of the B2 exam — easily adaptable for any level — and try some ourselves to see listening from the learners’ perspective.
About Eleanor
Eleanor has been an educator for almost 25 years. She started as a secondary school geography & history teacher in Newcastle and moved to the world of EFL when she came to live in Catalonia in 2003.
She is CELTA & DELTA qualified and used to be the Director of Studies and primary teacher trainer for International House Mataró. Now, she works as a self-employed English teacher with her own company.

Silvia is an organizational psychologist with degrees in Labor Sciences and a Master’s in Education and ICT, specializing in talent development and leadership. She supports management teams through the NEXE Method, her proprietary approach combining diagnosis, strategy, experiential learning, and evolution to enhance people management, communication, and team engagement. A Master Practitioner in NLP and expert in emotional management, she brings over 20 years of experience developing leadership skills and high-performing teams.

They are a common part of everyday teaching, yet teachers face the challenge of following the book while keeping learners motivated, lessons lively, and meeting diverse needs. This session explores how activities from current primary and secondary coursebooks can be reimagined into low-prep, interactive tasks. Teachers will leave with practical strategies and ready-to-use ideas to make their lessons more creative, engaging, and learner-centred.
About Andrea
With nearly 20 years’ experience teaching English to learners of all ages, Andrea is a highly popular and inspiring primary school teacher at a semi-private school, where she has been motivating young learners for the past seven years. She also serves as Team Leader for Examens Girona. Back by popular demand, Andrea shares her innovative, practical teaching strategies, packed with real classroom-tested activities that energize teachers and bring learning back to life.
A Fair Chance for All – Access Arrangements in High-Stakes Exams

This session explores how fair access can be provided for all learners, including those with physical difficulties (temporary or permanent) and neurodiverse learners such as ADHD or dyslexia. David Bradshaw will explain what access arrangements are, outline the support Cambridge provides, share practical classroom strategies, and highlight how technology can help ensure inclusive assessment. Teachers will gain guidance on selecting appropriate provisions for individual learners and giving every student a fair chance to succeed.
About David
David is a Senior Assessment Services & Recognition Manager at Cambridge English, has over a decade of experience in language education. Before joining Cambridge, he was Head of Modern Languages in bilingual schools in Madrid. A regular speaker at conferences across Europe, David has also published widely on classroom management and student motivation.
Build your own AI teaching assistant: A hands-on workshop with Gemini Gems

This practical workshop introduces Gemini Gems, simple AI assistants that support everyday English language teaching. Participants will explore how Gems can be used to create teaching materials, design self-access and extension resources (especially for learners with specific needs), and examine the pros and cons of using AI tools to support feedback. Working step by step, teachers will design, customise, and test their own Gemini Gem for their teaching context, while reflecting on key issues such as age-appropriateness, data privacy, and responsible AI use.
No prior AI experience is required. Participants should bring a laptop and have access to a Google account.
About Joseph
Recently retired, but still active, Joseph Hopkins is a language teacher/teacher trainer and is the former Director of the Centre for Modern Languages at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya, a totally online institution. He is also a team member of the project ICT-REV, a teacher development initiative financed by the European Centre for Modern Languages (ECML) and the European Commission. His research interests are technology-enhanced language teaching and learning, language teaching management, and ICT training for language teachers.
About Jackie
Jackie Robbins has been working in the area of language teaching and teacher training for over 30 years. She is currently a lecturer at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya where she coordinates several English as a foreign language courses and teacher training courses. She is a member of the European Centre for Modern Languages ICT-REV project team, which supports language teaching and learning in Europe. Her research interests include online language learning, learner engagement and supporting learners with specific educational needs.

Should AI replace language teachers?

This talk addresses a major concern amongst language teaching professionals today: should AI replace them? Drawing on examples of professions already reshaped by AI, it examines current uses of AI in language teaching and learning. In this context, the focus turns to the added value of human teachers and to the broader question of whether language learning still matters in an AI-driven world.
